Job Description


Cartersville Treatment Center, a member of Acadia Healthcare, is a comprehensive outpatient substance abuse treatment facility serving patients afflicted with the disease of addiction. Our facility has an opening for a Full Time PharmacyTechnician. We offer our patients an outpatient environment conducive to recovery from the disease of addiction, specifically to the opioid class of drugs.

The Pharmacy Technician will be a person who is proficient in back office skills. He/she must have completed high school diploma and or a GED.  He/she must be registered with the state board of Pharmacy. There is no history of alcohol or drug misuse prior to employment as a Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician will understand and adhere to organization, Federal and State regulations, including accreditation agency standards. He/she must possess organizational skills and have the ability to pay close attention to detail. They must have a general working knowledge of operating in a pharmacy in Medicated Assisted Treatment setting (MAT).

 Must be knowledgeable in computer programs and general office equipment.

The Pharmacy Technician works under the supervision of the Clinic Director and or Pharmacy (clinic director discretion).He/she supports pharmacological services by stocking, assembling, and labeling medications.

He/She is knowledgeable of all state and federal regulations, including accreditation agency standards applicable to an opioid treatment program. He/She has knowledge of and is culturally sensitive to the problems of the patients of this clinic. Conducts self professionally at all times.

  • provide assistance to pharmaicst
  • prepare/print labels, seal bottles, print reports
  • Stocking necessary supplies and informing the clinic director should the reordering of supplies be required
  • Have a working knowledge of the clinic and assisting in all areas in which he/she has received training

Job Requirements

  • Working knowledge of a pharmacy
  • Registered Pharmacy Tech with VA Board or currently enrolled in a Pharmacy Tech program. 
  • Front office and/or customer service experience is preferred
