Network Engineer II

Duties

Acadia Management Company, LLC, an Acadia Healthcare subsidiary, has an opening for a Network Engineer II at its location in Franklin, Tennessee (6100 Tower Circle, Suite 1000, Franklin, TN 37067).

Reporting to the Manager of IT Operations, manages the purchase, installation, and support of network communications, including LAN/WAN systems. Responsible for evaluating current systems. Plans large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies. Provides work leadership and training to lower level network engineers. Provides direction, information and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations. Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards. Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; proactively addressing network optimization needs. Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software applications to resolve operational issues and restore services. Maintain and support Acadia Healthcare’s multi-site network operations. Coordinate repairs and technical support for network services and systems. Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access. Reporting network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information. Serve as a mentor to Field Support and Core Infrastructure staff. Maintain current documentation of Acadia Healthcare’s network architecture and systems. Maintain a thorough understanding of networking and security technology platforms (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPM, Wireless, Email Routing, etc.).

Research and oversee implementation of new technologies. Support 24X7 operations as needed for network infrastructure after hours & weekend. Respond to tickets in a timely manner to ensure that IT meets its Response and Closure SLA’s. Collaborate with all team members, across IT towers and third parties to ensure expedient problem resolution, deliver to project objectives, attend meetings as required, and perform other duties of a similar nature or level. Write routine reports and correspondence, and email. Communicate in an effective and professional manner to individual users, groups of users, and other Acadia Healthcare employees. Keep updated on new technology and industry trends, and attend appropriate certification courses to maintain proficiency.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical engineering field; two (2) years of experience supporting the LAN/WAN network of a large enterprise infrastructure with multiple locations or facilities; one (1) year of experience implementing and maintaining SD-WAN solution across multiple enterprise locations; and networking-related work experience in each of the following: Ethernet; Fast Ethernet; Gigabit Ethernet; LWAP’s; Cisco-Viptela SD-WAN; Cisco DNA; Velocloud-VMware Cisco ACI; OSPF; EIGRP; BGP; route redistribution; route filtering; summarization; VLAN’s; Inter-VLAN routing and port channels; VTP; Spanning Tree Protocols such as PVST+ and RSTP+); port security; DHCP snooping; LACP; VPC; ASA 5550/5540 firewalls; check-point firewalls; access control lists; IPsec and IPS; HSRP; GLBP; VRRP; GRE tunneling; remote access VPN; site-to-site VPN; Cisco DMVPN; Wireshark; SNMP; Microsoft Visio; NetBox (IPAM); and SolarWinds.

This position also requires experience in each of the following: installing and supporting HPE Aruba Wireless Access Points across various interconnected locations; implementing and maintaining VPN Tunnels on enterprise network firewalls such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA to establish necessary access and communications with third-party devices and vendors; implementing Zscaler Cloud firewall solution; designing and implementing Cisco ACI; implementing Velocloud SD-WAN solution; migrating DMVPN (dynamic multipoint virtual private network) to SD-WAN solution across multiple sites; and testing all seven (7) layers of the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model.
