We two (2) open full time positions (AM with one weekend day & PM with weekends) for experienced Medical Technicians to work at The Camp located in Scotts Valley, Ca. You will be an integral part of the Recovery Team.

The Medical Technician's primary role is to provide a safe, supporting, nurturing environment for our clients. You are a critical part of our treatment team. Tasks and responsibilities:
• Make MD appointments as needed
• Notifies nurse on duty of significant changes in patients
• Send prescriptions, collect copays, and pick-up medications
• Participates in staff reports between shifts
• Assist in admitting patients as requested, orders detox medications
• Assist with patient self-administration of medications
• Transports patients or supplies as assigned
• Other duties as assigned


1. Education - Education/Training in medical setting (CNA, LPN, M.A., Nurses Aid).
2. Experience - Knowledge/experience working with patients who are chemically dependent preferred.
3. Certifications - CPR Certification, CNA Certificate, MA Certification.
4. Licenses - None required.
5. Age/Gender Specifics - Ability to work with male and female, adolescent (13-17), adult (18-over) substance abuse/dual diagnosed population.

This position requires an understanding of the facility's treatment program and philosophy. Individual must have a working knowledge of alcoholism, drug abuse and dual diagnoses. Med Tech's are responsible for maintaining means that patients are safe, participating in the program and following the facility behavior model for patients.

You will excel at customer service and be able to collaborate with multiple departments in a collaborative manner.
