Job Description

Licensed Practical Nurse

Rebound Behavioral Health, a member of Acadia Healthcare, is an acute inpatient adult/child/adolescent behavioral health and substance abuse treatment facility located in Lancaster, SC.  Our facility has an opening for a Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse.  The qualified candidates will work closely in a team environment with a team of medical personnel, clinicians and office personnel in accordance with State and Federal Regulations to provide care for our patients.

The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for the delivery of care to patients, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation; and effectively interacts with patients, family members and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

Additional responsiblities include:

  • Maintaining accurate accounting of all medication received and dispensed;
  • Preparing current patient progress reports and completion notices;
  • Maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulations;
  • Coordinating and cooperating with local agencies and organizations necessary to expedite treatment for each patient.

Hours: 20.0 - 40.0

Schedule:   Full-time and Part-time Evenings and/or Nights

License or Certification

  • CPI per company policy
  • Current state (multistate) licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • AHA BLS Certification

Education, Vocation Training and Experience:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing;
  • 2 years of experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse including medical/surgical experience and awareness of the needs of chronically, mentally ill;
  • Phlebotomy skills required;
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experience with chemical dependency and/or medication assisted treatment preferred.
