We currently have an opening for a Full time Infection Preventionalist Registered Nurse (RN)/Nurse Educator, to join our team of caring professionals.

Purpose of position:  Coordinate and lead the facility’s infection prevention and control program. Responsible for determining, preventing and containing infectious outbreaks within the facility, and develop and coordinate continuing nursing in-service education programs

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelors in Nursing , Masters preferred.

Experience:  3 years clinical experience combined with teaching experience; working knowledge of agents which cause disease, reservoir, knowledge of spectrum of disease, disease carriers, modes of transportation, host factors that enhance susceptibility, colonization of infection and approach to control infection.  must have knowledge of basic principles of epidemiology and the infectious disease process; Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS and AHCA knowledge is required.

Licensures/Certification: Florida Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, APIC Certification, current CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification (will provide training for CPI).
