Overview

Human Resource Manager

Position Summary:

This position will guide and manage the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for Ten Lakes Center. Ten Lakes will look to this person to ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state compliance requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, representing the organization at hearings, employee safety, welfare, wellness and health, and other employee services.

 About Ten Lakes Center:

Ten Lakes Center is a 16 bed acute geriatric psychiatric unit located in the rural area of Dennison, Ohio in Tuscarawas County. Ten Lakes Center is located within Trinity Twin City Critical Access Hospital, which is complete with a newly renovated emergency department and a 25 bed medical care unit. At Ten Lakes we approach each patient with the understanding that every individual has unique life experiences and medical history. We have a caring and compassionate staff that is committed to understanding and meeting the long and short-term needs of the patients we serve. However, we recognize that we cannot do this alone. We strive for professional and collaborative relationships with all agencies and facilities that refer patients to Ten Lakes.

Responsibilities
  • Conversion and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Daily involvement within the ATS, HRIS, and onboarding system. 
  • Full cycle recruitment and onboarding.
  • Performance improvement.
  • Benefit administration to include- new hires, terminations, open enrollment, etc.
  • Handle employee relations situations as needed.
  • Weekly reporting.
  • Worker's compensation, FMLA, and leave processing and tracking.
  • Identify and implement training needs.
  • Oversee Joint Commission, CMS and state survey compliance.
  • Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes patient care quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Assist the leadership team in continually refining the role within hospital to assist in achieving their operational and strategic goals.
  • Working within federal and state labor and employment laws, FMLA, HIPPA, ADA, COBRA and other regulatory laws required.
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and support in developing, implementing and reviewing Human Resource and leadership functions.

Job Requirements

  • BA Degree preferred.
  • Five years of HR Manager experience in a hospital setting required.
  • Start up experience highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of hospital operations and the responsibilities of HR.
  • Experience with licensing through state, JC, and CMS surveys.
  • Working knowledge of Ohio HR guidelines.
