Carolina House is a leader in providing high-quality care for males and females battling eating disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. We are located in two residential treatment settings in an idyllic, rural farmhouse in Durham, North Carolina. The Director of Nursing for Carolina House is instrumental in creating an empowering and professional environment. The Director of Nursing is a visionary for the department and how the department integrates into the entire organization. The Director of Nursing must lead and engage employees to provide optimal patient care and achieve the goals of the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervises nursing staff
  • oversees the department budgets
  • Maintains high standards of care
  • Manages patients' data and medical records
  • Interacts with doctors, patients and family members
  • Develops policies and procedures

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduated from an approved nursing school
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an RN
  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within a nursing/medical department
  • License to practice as an RN in North Carolina required
  • Ability to work with a female, male and all gender inclusive adult and adolescent population and their families
