Director of Admissions

At Rebound Behavioral Health, we recognize the sensitive nature that surrounds the decision to receive treatment for behavioral health concerns and substance abuse problems. Beginning with our admissions team, we remain steadfast in our dedication to making the process as comfortable as it possibly can be; providing the highest level of inpatient and outpatient care for individuals in the greater Charlotte and Lancaster area.

The Director of Admissions is responsible for providing supervision, training, and support to the Admissions Coordinators in order to ensure census. Responsibilities include assessing the appropriateness of the resident’s financial, psychiatric and physical health condition to facilitate an acceptable admission as quickly as possible.   • Supports team in facilitating incoming inquiries of prospective clients, loved ones and mental health/medical professionals with a sense of urgency and compassion
  • Exhibits a high level of professionalism and excellent customer service skills with each call, tour and admission
  • Obtains clinical information and other medical information (as applicable) to determine appropriateness for TK
  • Assist callers in identifying the benefits of TK program as relevant to their individual situation
  • Utilizes an Intervention style approach (when applicable) to assist callers in working through ambivalence
  • Demonstrates exceptional follow-up skills with families and treating professionals
  • Prepares and facilitates all aspects of the admissions process, including all intake paperwork 
  • Conducts campus-wide tours
  • Maintains Salesforce database by entering incoming and outgoing calls
  •  Makes outbound phone calls to referents, as assigned
  • Is available days, evenings and weekends
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Assist the admission coordinators with the admissions process as indicated above
  • Trains admission coordinators
  • Identifies areas of need for further training and coordinates with team
  • Approves monthly schedule to ensure proper coverage.
  • Collaborates with other departments as needed
  • Attend on and offsite professional outreach events
  • Is available to support admission coordinators with problem solving tasks via phone and/or email when not in office.
  • Ability to be creative in problem-solving to help improve census

Job Requirements

  • MA in psychology, counseling, social work or related field
  • Licensed LPC or LSW
  • 1 + year admission coordinator experience preferred
  • Ability to make independent decisions related to admissions criteria
  • Clinical background
  • Behavioral health care experience required
  • 5 years of sales or customer service experience preferred
