Overview

Contracts Specialist I

The Acadia Healthcare Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) division, is looking for an experienced Contracts Specialist to join our team in our Carlsbad, CA centralized business office. The Contracts Specialist is responsible for contracting the facilities with all third party payers including commercial insurance, managed Medicaid, Country, Government, and VA. This position is responsible for the full life cycle of the contract including contract negotiation, implementation, analysis, and reporting to impacted parties.

Responsibilities
  1. Track and monitor contracts throughout their lifecycle from inception to execution and post-implementation.
  2. Facilitate the routing, approval, and execution of third party payer contracts.
  3. Review contracts for pertinent information to develop a contract summary.
  4. Communicate critical contract information to internal stakeholders.
  5. Assist in the research of state Medicaid policies/procedures to ensure thorough understanding of Medicaid structure as necessary.
  6. Review solicitations and assist in the preparation of routine response for proposals, bids, and contract modifications.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • 2+ years of contract related experience required.
  • Healthcare contracting experience preferred.
  • Basic to working knowledge of health care delivery systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
