Clinical Director

Situated in the heart of North Carolina, Carolina House offers residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient eating disorders treatment to individuals with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, and related issues. We seek to treat the whole person and promote the development of strong, life-long emotional and behavioral skills that honor a person’s unique situation.

The Clinical Director is responsible for collaborating with the Executive Director and Program Director to manage and supervise the clinical functions of the facility, supervise clinical staff, and to provide quality patient care.

  • Cooperates with senior leadership to develop, formulate, implement, and revise clinical programming proposals for recommendations to medical and professional staff and to adhere to regulatory body standards and meet facility goals and objectives.
  • Provides, coordinates, and monitors in-service opportunities for clinical, nursing, and other employees’ continuing education.
  • Demonstrates an ability to assess and interpret a patient’s response to treatment in age/disability/culturally sensitive manner.
  • Provides direction with clinical services in accordance with accepted standards of social work/clinical practice in a timely fashion and as outlined by Federal and State Regulations.
  • Participates as an active member of the treatment team.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Masters Degree or PhD in a behavioral health discipline required.
  • At least one year clinical experience in a behavioral health setting required. Experience with treatment of eating disorders required. Experience in a supervisory position preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid (Offered at facility).
  • Current license in specialty field if required by State Knowledge in the disease of eating disorders required. Ability to share meals with patients required . Computer skills preferred.
  • Ability to work with female, adult and adolescent patients and their family.
