As a Behavioral Health Associate at North Tampa Behavioral Health you will participate in the development and implementation of patients' treatment plan by: 

  • Providing care and close supervision of facility patients and documenting behavior
  • Developing positive relationships with patients and co-workers
  • Following facility policies and procedures implementing treatment plans and providing crisis intervention as necessary.
  • Actively participant as part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction
  • Act as a role model in using appropriate counseling skills by de-escalating aggression, using active listening skills, using appropriate tone and volume of voice, providing a high frequency and variety of positive reinforcements, maintaining appropriate boundaries, and promoting a positive peer culture.

North Tampa Behavioral Health offers both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric and co-occurring treatment, including a Partial Hospitalization Program and an Intensive Outpatient Program to adults and seniors, age 18 and up. The outpatient programs can arrange transportation if needed. North Tampa will also provide a mobile assessment team to community providers to assist with their needs.

The qualified applicant must be a HS Grad or equivalent, current FL CNA preferred; at least one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting, behavioral health preferred and a current CPR and CPI certification, excellent communication and customer service skills.  Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. (CPI certification training available upon hire and offered by facility).
