The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for coordinating activities within the AP team and supervising staff in performing the day to day functions of Accounts Payable.

  • Supervises AP Specialists in their daily functions and resolves escalated issues related to payment of invoices
  • Oversees a high volume centralized accounts payable department, supporting 110+ locations and 6,500+ monthly invoices processed
  • Reviews special invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
  • Enters Accounts Payable invoice data into the system.
  • Processes weekly check run; distributes checks and obtains appropriate approvals on reports
  • Serves as liaison between Accounts Payable staff and Facility and Corporate AP staff.
  • Responsible for year-end close processing and reporting including 1099 IRS reporting for reportable vendors.
  • Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and payable files.
  • Assists Corporate and facility personnel as necessary.
  • Manages facility AP facility database monthly close. Maintains knowledge in the Accounts Payable field.

Additional Responsibilities 

Coach and develop existing AP team members and new team members as they are added to coincide with the growth of the company. Research and resolve issues related to invoices, payment, and expense reports. Ensure that all Acadia policies and procedures related to AP are clearly defined, updated and documented

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of Healthcare Accounts Payable experience preferably in a lead or supervisor role.
  • Experience with general ledger software.
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office; especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
