Looking to make a difference? Acadia CTC Division is searching for an energetic and enthusiastic Division Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to help run our Comprehensive Treatment Center Division in Carlsbad, CA.

You will play a key role in directing the analysis and interpretation of financial information of the Division and all related activities; supports the completion of strong business plans and budgets; evaluates alternative courses of action and ensures that the revenue cycle operations are performed at a high level.

Given the prevalence of opioid abuse and addiction in today’s society, there is a strong need for effective treatment in order for those who are struggling with such chemical dependency concerns to break free from the grips of heroin and/or prescription painkiller addictions. 

Comprehensive Treatment Centers employ specially trained doctors and nurses who are qualified to prescribe the appropriate medication that meets each patient’s needs and can monitor the effectiveness of that medication for the duration of the individual’s care.

Responsibilities
  • Participates in recruiting of Regional Controllers
  • Provides Regional Controllers with ongoing feedback of performance including any necessary PIPs or corrective actions.
  • Oversees the Division’s centralized Accounts Payable Department.
  • Provides the Group CFO, Group President and other corporate staff requested information related to the Division’s financial operations
  • Ensures that monthly financial statements are completed timely and accurately. Provides guidance to the Regional Controllers during the month end close process. 
  • Ensures that all clinic balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis and in compliance with Acadia policies and standards and that any outstanding variances are identified and corrected timely.
  • Participates in the Monthly Operating Reviews with CTC Operations Management and provides explanations and insight for regions/clinics.
  • Routinely reviews revenue cycle metrics to proactively identify and address issues affecting overall performance. Reviews and follows up on any issues reported by the Division BOD or CBO Directors.
  • Ensures Regional Controllers prepare annual capital budgets timely and that Capital Expenditure Requests are completed accurately and in compliance with Acadia policies.
  • Ensures that Regional Controllers record assets and related depreciation accurately and in compliance with Acadia policies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or business related field with major in Accounting.
  • CFO experience in a healthcare setting, previous Division CFO or Acadia Group CFO experience required.
  • Previous Behavioral healthcare experience highly preferred.
  • Previous experience with a proprietary healthcare system highly preferred.
  • CPA or Master’s degree a plus.
  • Ability to lead with a high degree of emotional intelligence and ethics.
  • Ability to set priorities and expectations.
  • Ability to make decisions under stressful situations
