This position can be located in the region, but must be able to travel to each facility within the region. Ideally this candidate will reside in California, but open to areas on the West Coast.

Your Job as a Director of Quality and Compliance:

Director, Quality and Compliance is responsible for assisting in the facilitation of compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, and as such, will be responsible for providing guidance and advice on all aspects of policy development, clinical protocols, critical incident reporting, regulatory submissions, certifications and on-going regulatory compliance. Looking for qualified professional with experience in behavioral health and recovery field.

Your Responsibilities as a Director of Quality and Compliance:

  • Provide Regulatory and Compliance Support
  • Quality Review process to assess quality, safety, regulatory and accreditation readiness
  • Documentation Reviews
  • Campus wide Health and Safety Tours and Inspections
  • Support in onboarding and training new staff on compliance related areas
  • Support with incident and clinical issues

Your Skills and

Job Requirements

as a Director of Quality and Compliance:

  • Certification in the area of substance abuse, RN/LPN, compliance, or other healthcare related area; preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or a related field, required.
  • Master's degree in healthcare, preferred. 
  • Medicated Assisted Treatment experience and knowledge preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in psychiatric healthcare and/or substance abuse operations.
  • Experience in residential, eating disorders, and/or substance abuse treatment.
  • Knowledge of state  and/or federal regulations as it relates to these fields
  • Knowledge of the CMS, CARF and TRICARE standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission regulations. 
  • Experience in conducting complex compliance investigations.
  • Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data & information while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Self-started, and ability to work independently. At times may work remote but must have secure office space available. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external.
  • Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; understands when to route inquiries to next level.

Position Characteristics  

This position travels up to 75% of the time with frequent overnight travel required. Will work from various offices as well as a secure “home office” when appropriate.
